← All Stories Saltmarsh Talent Shines at the 2026 Voice Arts Gala

Our maritime memoir narration took top honors at this year's gala — here is how eleven sessions became one unforgettable listen.

The ballroom went quiet when the nominees for Narration of the Year were read aloud — and when our name echoed back through the speakers, three years of dawn sessions and midnight retakes flashed before our eyes. Saltmarsh Narration Co took home top honors at this year's Voice Arts Gala, and we are still catching our breath.

Our winning production, a nine-hour maritime memoir recorded over eleven sessions, pushed every part of our craft: whispered deck scenes, storm chapters that demanded full chest voice, and a seventy-year-old captain's rasp we built with our dialect coach over two weeks of prep.

None of it happens alone. Our engineers, directors and casting team share this trophy with the authors who trust us with their stories. If you were in the room on gala night, thank you for the loudest cheer of the evening — and if you missed it, our full acceptance notes and behind-the-booth photos are below.

Next season starts now. Auditions for our autumn slate open Monday, and gala winners get first listen.
